Terms of Service

These terms cover using RestockGenie. They are written to be read, so where a plain sentence does the job we have used one.

The agreement

This is an agreement between you and the people who run RestockGenie — Ruthwik Kadavakolanu and John Huang — who operate it personally rather than through a company. By creating an account or using the service you accept these terms. If you are accepting on behalf of an organization, you are confirming you may bind that organization.

What the service does

RestockGenie keeps a shared record of what an organization has in stock across its sites and storage locations, lets anyone with access raise a restock request by scanning a printed QR label, and collects those requests into an order list. Each location can be set to track exact quantities or to accept requests only.

Your account

You need an account, and you are responsible for what happens under it. Keep your credentials to yourself and tell us promptly if you think someone else has them. You must give us an email address that reaches you, because that is how we verify the account and send anything that matters.

Organizations, members and roles

An organization is owned by the person who creates it. Owners can invite members, assign roles, and remove people. A role decides what a member can do, and removing someone ends their access immediately.

Data an organization's members put into the service belongs to the organization, not to the individual who typed it. An owner can see and manage it. If you are a member of someone else's organization, that is worth knowing.

Acceptable use

Do not use RestockGenie to:

• break the law, or help anyone else do so
• gain access to an organization, account or data that is not yours
• probe, scan or overload the service, or work around its rate limits
• resell or rebrand the service as your own
• upload anything malicious

We may suspend an account that does any of this.

Your data

Your inventory data stays yours. We use it to run the service for you and for nothing else — we do not sell it, mine it, or use it to train anything. How we handle personal data is set out in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

Availability

We work to keep RestockGenie available, but we do not promise a specific uptime and there is no service level agreement. The service is provided as it is. We may change or remove features, and where a change would materially affect how you work we will give account owners notice.

Trial Plan and Paid Plan

Trial Plan lasts one calendar month from the business owner's account creation. Members share their organization's plan. The owner can choose Paid Plan at any time during the trial, with the first payment due when the original trial ends. After the trial, a new subscription requires payment at checkout.

Without a subscription, the organization becomes read-only when its trial ends. An enrolled subscription with a failed first payment or renewal has seven days from the original payment deadline to resolve payment before read-only access applies. Viewing inventory, search, order history, and QR printing remain available. Owners can manage payment methods, invoices, and cancellation through Stripe. Cancellation preserves the remaining trial or paid period and does not restart a trial.

Live subscriptions collect real payments through Stripe. Sandbox checkout is for testing, uses test payment details, and does not collect real payments. Prices are shown before an owner affirmatively chooses a subscription.

Ending the agreement

You can stop using RestockGenie at any time and ask us to delete your account — see the Privacy Policy for how, since there is not yet a button for it. We may suspend or end an account that breaks these terms, and we will explain why unless we are prevented from doing so. When an account ends, its data is deleted.

Disclaimers

RestockGenie helps a team keep track of stock. It is not a guarantee that anything is actually in stock, and it does not replace your own checks. To the extent the law allows, the service is provided without warranties of any kind.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for lost profits, revenue or data. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Changes to these terms

If we change them we will update the date at the top, and we will tell account owners by email when a change materially affects them. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it.
